Research interests

Dr Abla Amawi is the Secretary General of the Higher Population Council of Jordan and the President of the Arab Council of Population and Development under the League of Arab States. She has significant experience in leading and managing global, regional and country development portfolios. She served over 23 years with UNDP globally, has several publications, and earned her M.A. and Ph.D. from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.
