Dr Dina P. Sidhva, co-convenor of this Network is a Lecturer in Social Work at the University of the West of Scotland and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK. Her research centres on issues affecting the socially excluded: in particular, people living with HIV/AIDS, forced migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, victims of domestic abuse, and persons from minority ethnic communities. Her expertise lies in working with marginalised and disadvantaged people to express their ‘voice’ and agency, through creative, participatory action research.
